Default Texas Has Dominated A&M Recently

The rivalry between Texas and Texas A&M has become so one-sided that most people believe Texas will win easily.

Texas has won five straight in the series and oddsmakers tend to agree. The Longhorns are a huge 27-point road favorite. That number is unheard of in this series.
In a rivalry that dates to 1894, the Longhorns own a 72-34-5 edge in the series. From 1940-1974, Texas was 32-3-1 against the Aggies. Texas A&M had their run during the 80’s, winning 10 of 11 from 1984-94. Now it is on the Texas side again. During the five-year winning streak, Texas has outscored A&M 186-72 and twice won at Kyle Field.
While the Longhorns are accustomed to beating A&M, they're also aware that all sports streaks eventually come to an end.

Texas is a heavy favorite to keep the streak alive. The Longhorns are No. 2 in the current Bowl Championship Series standings and wins over the Aggies and in the Big 12 championship game on Dec. 3 earn them a Rose Bowl bid to play for the national title. Don’t think that A&M doesn’t know all this. "We could save the whole season," Aggies defensive back Melvin Bullitt said. "If we win this game, it could be momentum into next season. It could be momentum into the next couple of years with recruiting, fan base, everything. This could change the BCS."
