March Madness: Coming to a close....

It’s been a whirlwind of excitement this past month with all of the energy displayed by the U.S. college teams, and we now have the results to the end of this year’s NCAA tournaments!

For the women’s sector Final Four, we had:
University of Connecticut
University of Notre Dame
Stanford University
Texas A&M

The women played hard and proved that they all wanted the championship with very close games throughout the Final Four and into the Final, but there could be only one! Notre Dame beat Connecticut 72 to 63 and Texas A&M won by a single point over Stanford at 63 to 62. In the Final game it was all Texas, and they shot a solid 76 to Notre Dame’s 70, taking home the Women’s NCAA Championship for 2011.

Men’s NCAA Final Four for 2011 were:
VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University)
Butler University (Indiana)
University of Kentucky
University of Connecticut

University of Connecticut beat out University of Kentucky and made it to the final game along with Butler University, who won their game with VCU. In the end, the Huskies from the University of Connecticut proved that they will still remain the reigning champions of the NCAA Basketball for another year. What an amazing set they’ve had!

This concludes another wonderful year of college basketball and we want to give a round of applause to all of the teams that made it out to this year’s tournaments and hope to see just as great teams and games in 2012.
