Sportscapper CFB Play for Monday – Miami -3

When it comes to Miami vs. Florida State you know the whole country will be watching and it usually comes down to which QB is better. Tonight that will be Miami’s Kyle Wright. Reports out of Miami are that the kid is the real deal and that the players believe in him much more than loser Berlin.

When it comes to these two teams lately it has been all Miami as they have won the last six meetings. Tonight should be no different. Florida State doesn’t even have a QB they trust this season and head coach Bobby Bowden doesn’t even seem very confident about the season.

I’ll go with the better team; the better QB and the better defense and take Miami.

Oakland really needs this series, as basement dweller Seattle is just what the doctor ordered for a reeling A's team that dropped two in a row to the Yankees. After destroying New York 12-0, the A's went to sleep and watched as their ace Zito got torn apart yesterday. Look for a serious bounce back here with Blanton on the mound.

Have you seen Blanton in August? He's pitched his heart out going 3-1 with a 1.17 ERA in seven starts! All Blanton needs is a little run support and the A's will get back on track. That leads us to Felix Hernandez, Seattle's phenom rookie, who has looked great. However, in order to win, they have to score obviously. And I don't see either team scoring much, but we all know Oakland should not drop three in row, and this doggie is hot, all because of Hernandez, nothing else, because the Mariners overall are just a lousy team. They're 25-42 on the road, Oakland is 40-28 at home and will protect their house today. Oakland over Seattle in what should be a low scoring affair.
