| | Chargers Look To Keep The Streak Going
The red-hot San Diego Chargers, winners of five straight games, are now 8-4 and looking to the playoffs.
The Chargers believe that they still may need to win out to make the playoffs in the tough AFC. It could be difficult though since they still have road games at undefeated Indianapolis and division rival Kanas City, plus they host division leader Denver in the season finale.
This week they have the Dolphins at home.
"We understand that if we don't beat Miami, then the last three games don't mean as much, because we might already be pretty much eliminated at that point," said quarterback Drew Brees. The Dolphins are 5-7, but they made up a 20-point deficit in the final 12 minutes Sunday to beat Buffalo 24-23, the biggest comeback victory in 31 years.
"I mean, hey, it's nice that K.C. beat Denver and it's nice that Pittsburgh lost," Brees said. "We know this: If we take care of business and win out, we're going to the playoffs, regardless. We understand that if we take care of our business, none of that other stuff matters."
