If you are looking for a team that might just have the talent to upset Connecticut or Duke and reach the NCAA Championship game you might want to look at the #3 Memphis Tigers.

Memphis has really kind of slid under the radar this season. The Tigers have Rodney Carney and Darius Washington and are also tough enough to play suffocating defense. The Tigers led 34-10 at the half against Southern Mississippi, the lowest total for a Memphis opponent in a half this season. The Golden Eagles scored two points in the first 10 minutes and failed to score in the final 7 minutes.

Rodney Carney scored 15 points and Kareem Cooper had 13 points and 13 rebounds as the Tigers won 80-41 on Tuesday night for its 12th straight victory.
It is doubtful that Memphis will be tested much the remainder of the season, and they may be able to make a strong claim for a #1 seed.

With double digit odds at many sportsbooks, the Tigers are worth a look to win the NCAA title a month from now.
