Marquis snapped a personal four-game losing skid with Saturday’s 11-3 victory over the Cubs at Wrigley Field, as he gave up three runs and three hits in five innings. This is the righthander’s fourth consecutive start on the road, where he is 6-5 with a 5.30 ERA in 12 contests this year.

Williams, who began the season in Cincinnati, makes his second start in a Mets uniform, which is also just his second start since May 18. He went 5 2/3 innings on Sunday against Colorado, giving up three runs and six hits, but didn’t factor in the decision as New York rallied for a 7-4 home victory.
The lefthander is 2-5 with a 4.53 ERA in eight career starts against the Cardinals, including 0-1 with a 7.45 ERA in two games this year (eight runs in 9 2/3 innings).
The under in 7-1-1 in Marquis’ last nine starts against the Mets, but the over is 3-1 in Williams’ last four against St. Louis.
The first two games of this series have easily hurdled the posted total, and the over is 9-3 in the last 12 Mets-Cardinals games played in New York. ATS ADVANTAGE: OVER |
