Penny beat the Giants 6-5 on Saturday, but he did allow four runs (three earned) on seven hits in six innings. The righthander is 3-0 with a 3.15 ERA in his last three outings. He’s also 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA in four appearances (three starts) against San Francisco this year. Schmidt is 6-1 with a 2.68 ERA in 12 home starts this season, while Penny is 6-2 with a 3.33 ERA on the road. The under is 7-3 in Schmidt’s last 10 trips to the mound and 4-1 in his last five starts against L.A. (3-1 this year).
