Tuesday Free Baseball Pick I'm on a 274-218-5 run with my free releases, all sports combined, the past 16 months. Play the Marlins againt the Dodgers in this matinee affair, as your winners continue right here - now on a 7-3 run after the A's got it done last night. Josh Johnson has been a stellar road warrior for the Marlins, and today could be the day Los Angeles is handed a setback - only its second in 19 games. This run is absolutely incredible for L.A., but let's not forget that while we're marveling at a 17-1 run, this team is also 18-14 in its last 32. Johnson turned in the most productive start of his rookie campaign, in his last time out, tossing seven shutout innings, while giving up two hits in a win over the Diamondbacks. Johnson should be able to avenge his rough outing on Aug. 5 to the Dodgers, who pounded him for five runs on eight hits in three innings. Runs don't come easy when he is the visiting hurler, as his ERA out of a travel bag sitting at 1.66. 3♦ MARLINS |
