Default Colts Undefeated Season must go Through Jacksonville

The team that has given the Indianapolis Colts the most trouble over the past two seasons has been the Jacksonville Jaguars. They have split with the Colts the past two seasons, and they will try for another split on Sunday.

Colts head coach Tony Dungy said, "They've played us as well as anybody in the division, and they're as hot as anybody. We always play close games, so we're expecting a great game with a lot of intensity. It should be great for the NFL." The Jaguars played the Colts as well as anyone has this year, losing 10-3 at the RCA Dome in the second week of the season.

The Jaguars are 9-3 and in good shape for an AFC wild-card playoff spot. After this game, they play San Francisco, Houston and Tennessee. One problem for the Jags is that they will be without Byron Leftwich and probably Fred Taylor. The backups are doing okay though. David Garrard has played well and Greg Jones has done well filling in for Taylor. Indianapolis is a 7.5-point road favorite. It may be a high line, but not many people want to buck the undefeated Colts. A win clinches the NFC South for Indianapolis.
