Hate to do this, because they looked so good in sweeping the Red Sox but let's put all that behind us and look at what this game, and this situation, for what it is.
The Yanks just played 5 games in 4 days. They played a double header marathon, then had to come back less than 12 hours later and play again.
Then they played a Sunday night game that was prolonged by a rain delay and again, they had to come back and play an afternoon game.
Then, they had to take a 5 1/2 hour flight to Seattle and deal with Jet Lag. And finally, they have a kid on the mound tonight making his first start.
NY hasn't had a day off since August 7th and in sports, today would be called a let down game.
There's a lot going against the Yanks tonight and to get Seattle as a decent sized underdog I feel is a good value bet.
Take the Mariners here, look for the Yanks to sleepwalk through this one. |
