Although the preseason has not been to kind to Big Ben, I feel that he will settle down an feel more comfortable when the season starts. Also the defense has performed really well in the preseason and should continue

| | Bettis? Losing Bettis early on may hurt - and will he come back the same way? Also, could Big Ben be in store for a soph slump?

| | I heard he was in the best shape of his career despite his injuries. He knows thi sis probably his last year and will give it his all. Besides, Pitt still has Duce Staley and Willie Parker aint no slouch either. I agree that Big Ben could me in store for a soph slump, but Pitts defense is unlreal and possibly even better than last years defense. Theres no doubt in my mind that Pitt will make the playoffs at least.

| | I don't know man, big ben looked kinda crappy in the preseason. And he's only missing more game time and practice time because of his appendix. I'm worried about his lack of on field time and the fact that Baltimore looks really good. McNair may kill it this year and Ray Lewis is back healthy. Add Cinci to the mix with a very very sharp looking Carson Palmer and Steelers are down there with the Browns this season. Even the Browns look improved with Willy McGinnis.

I dont mean any dis respect man but saying at the begining of the season that you think the defending champion is going to win it all again seems like a bit of a cop out. You didnt say much to back it, but you dont have to because they are the defending champs and the favorite. If you said that you thought the 49ers were going to win it all and provided good reasoning then people would problably think your insane, but at least if they won it all you could point to the post and know it ment something, because it wasnt something that the wife of any huge football fan who was cooking chili and baking cookies all game could have said and been lagit about it. You know what im saying?
personaly i think making any sort of heavy bet on the superbowl champion this early is crazy because of all the things (aka injurys, arrests, shootings, drugs, fighting, prostitutes, childish behavior etc.) that can hapen over the course of the season
with that said good luck, no doubt a million+ people are with ya on it. |

| | Yeah, to jump on the steelers bandwagon ain't like you're proclaiming the earth is round to us.
But, regardless, Steelers ain't winning shit this season. They gotta play the Ravens twice and the Bengals twice. That's four loses right there. Then they ain't winning their division, so they gotta go wildcard. I know they did it last year, but they ain't doing that again this year.
Ravens doing it this year. Reeeeeal big.
Falcons doing it this year. Reeeeeal f**king big.
Defense wins championships.
Bob Marley....WTF?

| | lol, yea bro. but if defense wins championships then where does that put the falcons... 50/50. The best defense they have is runing the ball and keeping their defense off the field. Steelers defense is the best in their division, bar none. |

| | Oooooo. I don't know allday.
Steelers defense has given up more points so far this year than the ravens. And ravens are looking unbreakable. They are taking peoples heads off and only given up six points. Sure they did play the gayders and the Sucs, but I think their d is stronger than the Steelers.
Falcons, yeah sure, they maybe a pretender, but they got a good ground game. And like you said, that's the best offense for a defense.

| | Yeah, so the Bengals still looking good. Big Ben looking kinda iffy. And the Falcons fell apart last night. They had to come in and play the villian and they looked real tense. It didn't help they fell behind 7-0 after the first possesion.
Bengals vs. Ravens will be an amazing game. I can't wait. That division is tough. Browns hung with the Ravens and almost upset them, but Frye threw a pick. Steelers gonna have a long year. I say they lose four to the Ravens and Bengals and drop one from the Browns. Ouch!!!
