A 2-7 Team That Actually Has Outscored Its Opponents You would normally think a team that is 2-7 would be a bad football team. In the case of the Green Bay Packers though, it may not be quite so bad. The Packers come into the Monday night game against the Vikings at a very poor 2-7 straight up but 5-4 against the spread. The strange thing about Green Bay is that they have actually outscored their opponents for the year 201-184. That number is definitely tilted though, as the Packers won over the Saints 52-3. The Packers may indeed be better than their 2-7 record but they are not a good team. Quarterback Brett Favre is old and worn out. The running game is worthless without Ahman Green, and the defense has never been any good. The Packers are facing a Vikings team tonight that is in similar shape. Minnesota is playing better of late, but still has a lot of shortcomings. They may not have as many as Green Bay, but that has not stopped the public from laying a ton of money on the Packers tonight. Monday night football is often the key game of the week for sportsbooks around the world and that will definitely be the case tonight. The line opened with Green Bay a 3.5 point home favorite and it has been bet up to 6. With the public always backing the favorite and the over, you know what the books need tonight. Yes, Minnesota and under.
