Default Free Pick - Cubs Vs. Houston Wednsday August 16th

For Wednesday take the Cubs at this huge price in Houston.

♦♦♦♦ Rich Hill pitched in the 18 inning game on Tuesday but stay with this play on a very very nice price♦♦♦♦

Andy Pettitte is better than Rich Hill and the Astros at home are probably superior to Dusty Baker's Cubs but are you kidding me with this price!??!?! Who the heck is Houston to be laying this number???? Phil Garner's club is a below .500 team that never seems to hit the ball.

Pettitte has been a little better of late but overall the southpaw is still not a guy you can fully trust anymore. He is not the pitcher that used to be on the Yankees and can certainly get hit today by Juan Pierre, Michael Barrett, Aramis Ramirez, Phil Nevin and the somewhat capable Cubs. No doubt Chicago is in the midst of a miserable year and probably Baker's last in the Windy City but these guys are still good enough to win this game.

Hill can certainly be sketchy but the guy has had a few good starts recently and at this price I'll definitely take my chances. More times than not Lance Berkman and the Astros will win this game but not at the number the oddsmakers seem to believe!

Matt Rivers received a bachelor of Arts from Emory University in Atlanta and has worked at two major television networks covering pro and college sports. A thorough knowledge of the sports world combined with personal gambling experience and handicapping knowledge, has helped mold Mr. Rivers into the consistent winner that he is today.

“I know it’s impossible to win 75% of the time like some handicappers say they do. That’s just not possible. Bottom line, there are a ton of liars in this industry,” Matt says. “There are so many shysters out there looking to just make a quick buck that it gives the handicapping industry a bad name.

"I want to assure each and everyone of you reading this page that I don't put my name on a play without playing it myself. That is a cold hard fact. I get down in the trenches with my clients”.

Good call. Hill looked pretty good and so did the relief pitching...O'Malley I think.
